Job Summary:

To manage and oversee the entire warranties, QC and reworks functions of the company.

Key Performance Areas / Key Performance Indicators:


  • Ensure that proper test processes are in place and improve efficiency continuously
  • Ensure that the warranties process is clear and transparent to all customers and staff
  • Analyse all warranty returns and give feedback to Line Manager with recommendations
  • Generate and distribute monthly status reports indicating quantities and types of failures, average repair times, etc
  • Ensure and maintain optimal warranty and component stock levels
  • Analyse root causes and trends of warranty returns and identify methods to reduce return rates
  • Evaluates tools and techniques for anticipating demand and assuring capacity at all times
  • Provide assistance and support to product management team members to resolve warranty and service cost issues
  • Ensure that all warranty staff members are trained continuously on all products



  • Management of the quality control department
  • Compile quality control reports and create process control metrics
  • Prepare monthly summaries of quality issues and analyse reports to identify specific problems or trends over time
  • Work closely with the product managers and warehouse team to establish quality requirements from customers and suppliers
  • Investigate and record customer complaints regarding product quality and performance
  • Work with suppliers to help formulate quality standards for the products



  • Manage the stock reworks function of the company
  • Process all reworks accurately and within the agreed timeframes
  • Ensure sufficient stock and component levels for reworks
  • Update the stock receiving sheet with relevant QC and rework dates and communicate timeframes to all relevant departments
  • Ensure that the reworks area is operating optimally and efficiently

Education and Qualifications Required:

  • Grade 12
  • Tertiary Qualification in ICT, Informatics or Computer Programming


Experience Required:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in ICT, Networking and Telecommunications
  • 2 Years’ experience in management
