Job Purpose Summary:

Responsible for developing long-term relationships with portfolio of assigned customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Account Management

  • Managing large customer accounts and building relationships with key contacts.
  • Arranging meetings with all relevant decision makers within the assigned customer base.
  • Taking a proactive approach to account management.
  • Liaise and coordinate the internal company functions/requirements to ensure the highest level of customer service for all assigned accounts.
  • Assess and manage testing of sample units by assigned accounts.
  • Work closely with the Internal sales agents and other departments to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled effectively within the prescribed time frames and internal procedures. 
  • Ensure that all complaints, issues and queries from assigned accounts reach a successful and appropriate conclusion.
  • Provide product training to assigned customers as required. 

 

Business Development and Retention 

  • Grow existing business, manage and report on retention.
  • Develop in-depth working knowledge of customers’ business, stakeholders, processes and operations in order to identify opportunities and align Nology’s product offerings. 
  • Grow Nology’s product spread within your accounts.
  • Proactively seek ways to broaden customer base.
  • Industry / market knowledge and research 

 

Admin and Reporting

  • Prepare report packs as required.
  • Provide reports in monthly meetings with internal stakeholders about performance on assigned accounts.
  • Devise, implement and manage a dedicated and ongoing sales plan per assigned account.
  • Log all customer interactions and opportunities on CRM system.
  • Filter information regarding forecasted stock, project requirements, pre-sales queries through to the Product Manager/s.

 

Project Accounts

  • Initiate and coordinate projects for orders with unique requirements both internally (between and with applicable departments within Nology) and with the customer.
  • Calculate, quote and process orders for assigned accounts with unique requirements like special pricing, high volumes, customization, etc. that will constitute a project.
  • Project update and progress communication with all required parties and especially with the customer.

Education and Qualifications Required:

  • Grade 12
  • Project Management - certificate (advantageous)
  • Sales/Marketing - degree or diploma (advantageous) 

 

Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and  Internet
  • Fincon (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years  in sales
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Key Account Management Role
  • Industry/related experience (essential)
